I currently develop, host, edit, and produce three different podcasts.
Chismology Anthology is an interview podcast. The first volume focuses on different cultural creators (writers, artists, content creators) whose work has a strong liberatory praxis. The second volume is in pre-production but it will have a more narrative flow that focuses on different family histories and ancestral knowledge.
Espoilers Podcast is a media criticism podcast hosted by Ruben Angel and Steph OH. We devote each episode to a different film or television program created and/or starring people of color or other marginalized people.
Bitter Brown Femmes:
Bitter Brown Femmes is a podcast hosted that tackles social, political, emotional, and community issues. Hosted by Cassandra Alicia (better known as Xicanisma) and Ruben Angel (also known as Queer Xicano Chisme), Bitter Brown Femmes was born from a necessity to take the Latinx/Chicanx community dialogue beyond mere identity empowerment and feel good/comedic fluff (that although, have their place, oversaturate social media) and into a realm that is critical of identity and society while advocating for marginalized peoples. This podcast aims to disrupt liberal complacency in systems of oppression by living up to our motto:
Dismantling Shit While Talking Shit!
